Ondo APC Elders Urge Aiyedatiwa to Foster Unity

The PBAT Mandate Elders Forum in Ondo State called on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to focus on genuine reconciliation among major stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This appeal was made on Wednesday in Akure, emphasizing that unity is crucial for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's electoral victory in the 2027 elections.

Hon. Demola Ijabiyi, Chairman of the Forum, stated that Aiyedatiwa's appointment as Tinubu's campaign coordinator should be seen as a mandate to unify the party rather than an opportunity for political dominance. Ijabiyi urged Aiyedatiwa to resolve differences with influential stakeholders, including the three ministers from the state and National Assembly members.

He warned that superficial meetings would not suffice for true reconciliation. The Forum expressed readiness to support efforts for Tinubu's victory but stressed that Aiyedatiwa's success should be measured by his ability to unite the party rather than exert control over it.
