Ajibade Prepares Super Falcons for WAFCON 2026

Rasheedat Ajibade, the captain of the Super Falcons, has announced her readiness for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). Ajibade, who led Nigeria to its 10th WAFCON title in Morocco last year and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player, has been training in Mallorca, Spain, with her Paris Saint-Germain F.C.

Women teammate Jennifer Echegini and Roma Women forward Rinsola Babajid. The Super Falcons are scheduled to open their camp in Morocco on July 15, 2026, ahead of their first match against Malawi on July 28, 2026.

The tournament will take place from July 25 to August 16, 2026, in Morocco, which will serve as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Four semi-finalists will qualify automatically, while the best quarter-finalist will advance to the inter-confederation playoffs.
