Super Falcons Arrive in Rabat for WAFCON 2026 Defense

Nigeria’s Super Falcons arrived in Rabat, Morocco, on Saturday ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where they will defend their continental title. The reigning champions completed a 10-day training camp in Casablanca, where head coach Justine Madugu and his technical crew focused on tactics, player fitness, and team chemistry.

The team concluded their preparations with a 2-1 victory over Malawi’s Twiga Stars in a friendly match. The Super Falcons will begin their title defense against Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday.

This marks Malawi's first appearance in WAFCON, and Nigeria is expected to approach the match cautiously. Following the opening match, Nigeria will face Zambia's Copper Queens and Egypt's Cleopatras in the group stage, all held in Rabat.

The Super Falcons aim for a record-extending 11th WAFCON title, having won the competition 10 times previously.
