Global music icon Akon, whose real name is Aliaune Thiam, was arrested by Chamble police in Georgia after they found an outstanding warrant for his arrest due to a suspended driver's license issue dating back to September. The incident occurred when Akon's Tesla Cybertruck broke down, leading to the discovery of his suspended license.

Despite being detained at DeKalb County Jail, he was released within hours. Akon, known for hits like "Smack That" and his philanthropic ventures, has not publicly commented on the incident.
