Kenny Okolugbo, the media aide to Senator Godswill Akpabio, has resigned from his position, attributing the decision to personal and family commitments. In a formal communication dated December 22, 2025, Okolugbo expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve at the highest level of Nigeria's legislative arm.

Chinedu Akubueze, the Chief of Staff to the Senate President, confirmed the resignation and praised Okolugbo's contributions. The resignation is set to take effect from January 1, 2026.
