Sierra Leone Honors Nigerian Coach Akuh Purity for Wrestling

Akuh Purity, the coach of Nigeria's women's national wrestling team, was honored by the Sierra Leone Olympic Committee, led by President Princ Vandi Sualli, for his significant contributions to the improvement of wrestling techniques and tactics in Sierra Leone. During the ceremony, he received a complete national team tracksuit as a symbol of gratitude.

His efforts included extensive travel across the Kei region, conducting training camps and workshops in various districts such as Makeni, Bo, Port Loko, Kenema, and the capital, Freetown. These initiatives aimed to strengthen grassroots wrestling and align the country's performance with international standards.

Akuh Purity also emphasized the importance of identifying and nurturing young talent for future representation on the world stage. His work involved close collaboration with local leadership to introduce better systems for athlete progress and long-term performance pathways.

Additionally, he received specialized education sessions designed to modernize training methods and officiating standards in line with international guidelines.
