The suspects were caught at a hotel in the Nnung Oku area of Ibesikpo Asutan local government area on September 12, 2025. One of the suspects, a native of Igbanke Village in Edo State, allegedly sent girls to the trafficking ring leader in Burkina Faso.
The victims were brought to Uyo and held for ransom. The police are actively working to dismantle the human trafficking syndicate and ensure justice for the victims.
