Al-Hilal Sign Nunez from Liverpool

Liverpool's Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez has been signed by Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in a deal worth 53 million euros. Nunez, who joined Liverpool in June 2022 from Benfica, scored 40 goals in 143 appearances for the Portuguese side.

The Reds expressed gratitude for Nunez's contributions and wished him and his family the best. Nunez's departure may impact Liverpool's pursuit of Sweden striker Alexander Isak.

Nunez scored in his first Liverpool appearance, a win against Manchester City in the 2022 Community Shield, but struggled with injuries that limited his playing time. In his two seasons with Liverpool, Nunez scored a total of 25 goals in 95 Premier League games, with 46 appearances coming as a substitute.
