Al-Muhibbah Open University Matriculates 365 Students

Al-Muhibbah Open University held its second matriculation ceremony in Bauchi, where 365 students were officially welcomed for the 2025/2026 academic session. The event was presided over by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan.

This year’s matriculation follows the first ceremony, which welcomed 103 students into the Faculty of Social Sciences, Management Sciences, and Health Sciences. Currently, the university has a total enrollment of 500 students across various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, reflecting its growth with four faculties, 14 undergraduate programs, and 25 postgraduate programs, of which 12 are under accreditation by the Nigerian University Commission.

Dr. Hassan expressed gratitude to the Bauchi State government for sponsoring 200 students, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in supporting the university's growth. He highlighted the university's commitment to providing quality education and the flexibility of open distance learning, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ceremony also acknowledged the contributions of the Chancellor, Dr. Aisha Bala Muhammad, and the Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Yahuza Bello.
