UDUS Matriculates 6,505 Students for 2025/2026 Session

Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) officially matriculated 6,505 students for the 2025/2026 academic session, as announced by Vice Chancellor Professor Moham Garba. The new students are distributed across 17 faculties, including 306 in Agriculture, 398 in Social Sciences, and 822 in the College of Health Sciences.

Additionally, 1,008 students were admitted for postgraduate studies. Professor Garba highlighted the university's growth since its inception in 1977 and reiterated the institution's dedication to nurturing capable scholars while urging students to avoid social vices such as cultism and examination malpractice, warning that any involvement would lead to expulsion.

New student Mariam Abdullahi expressed gratitude to her parents and pledged to focus on her studies to graduate with a first-class degree. Tasiu Aminu, the Students' Union President, encouraged fresh students to prioritize their studies and engage in extracurricular activities to develop leadership skills.
