Alaafin Absent as Governor Makinde Inaugurates Oyo State Council of Obas

The Alaafin of Oyo, Akeem Owoade, was notably absent during the inauguration of the council of Obas in Oyo State by Governor Makinde. The council, which had been moribund in recent years, was previously ineffective during the tenure of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, chaired the event, which was attended by other traditional rulers like the Soun of Ogbomoso and the Eleruwa of Eruwa. The reason for Alaafin's absence was not disclosed.
