Alaafin of Oyo Warns Against Illegal Market Leadership

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, has formally cautioned against the unauthorized installation of Isunmaila Kolawole Salami as the market leader in Oyo State. In a statement issued on Saturday by the Director of Media and Publicity, Bode Durojaiye, the monarch emphasized that any appointment made outside established procedures lacks recognition and is deemed null and void.

The Alaafin directed individuals involved to cease any activities related to the unauthorized market leadership and warned the public against engaging with anyone holding illegitimate market titles. He stressed that such actions undermine traditional authority and established processes, and he will not tolerate any actions that disrupt peace and order within the kingdom.
