Alaafin of Oyo Calls for Urgent Security Measures

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, has voiced significant concern regarding the worsening security situation in Ondo, Kwara, Kogi, and Ekiti states. In a statement made available to journalists by the Director of Cultural and Public Relations at the Alaafin's palace, Mr. Ademola Adeniyi, it was highlighted that the current state of insecurity poses a serious threat to the livelihoods and overall stability of the affected communities.

The Alaafin called for a swift reinforcement and intensified coordination of security responses, particularly in vulnerable rural agrarian areas where citizens are increasingly exposed to danger. He acknowledged ongoing efforts by security agencies and the government but emphasized the urgent need for a rapid deployment to strengthen security presence in these communities and enhance real-time intelligence gathering and information sharing.
