Benue Governor Alia Unveils 30-Year Development Plan

Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the Governor of Benue State, announced the launch of a 30-year development master plan designed to ensure continuity in governance and prevent future administrations from abandoning ongoing projects. This announcement was made during a briefing to journalists following a three-day inspection tour of various projects by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in collaboration with the Presidential Media Team.

Alia stated that the plan is necessary due to the lack of a comprehensive development framework in the 50 years since the state's creation. The master plan aims to provide a unified development direction for current and future administrations, allowing them to build on previous achievements rather than starting anew.

Alia emphasized that the plan would be people-driven, focusing on the actual needs of residents. He also mentioned the administration's efforts in rehabilitating infrastructure, including roads, healthcare centers, and schools, as well as recruiting approximately 9,700 teachers for primary schools.
