Alia Promises More Teachers and Development in Benue

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has committed to increasing investments in education and expediting people-oriented projects as he embarks on the next phase of his administration. During his Thank-You Tour across Buruku, Gboko, and Tarka Local Government Areas, Alia engaged with traditional rulers, religious leaders, political stakeholders, women, youths, and community leaders.

He announced plans to recruit additional teachers for primary and secondary schools, building on the previous recruitment of 9,700 primary school teachers to address manpower shortages and enhance educational quality. Alia urged unity among the people of Benue, emphasizing the importance of collective interests over political differences.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support and called for continued cooperation with the Federal Government. Local government leaders, including Hon. Raymond Zege and Hon. Raphael Yenge, expressed their support for Alia's administration and his re-election in 2027, while various stakeholders applauded the governor's achievements and requested further development interventions.
