Aliero Reaffirms Loyalty to APC Amid Defection Rumors

Adamu Aliero, the Senator for Kebbi Central, has publicly dismissed rumors regarding his potential defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and reaffirmed his commitment to the party. His reassurances came following his absence from the APC's state congress held on Tuesday, which sparked speculation about possible divisions within the party.

Aliero, addressing the situation during a Ramadan palliative distribution event in Birnin Kebbi, urged his supporters not to be disturbed by the unfolding events. He emphasized that he remains a loyal and committed member of the APC, with no reason for concern.

Dr. Faruku Udulu, a senior legislative aide, supported Aliero's statements, describing the rumors as unfounded and highlighting the need for internal party mechanisms to address issues.

Aliero's political relationship with President Bola Tinubu, dating back to their time as governor and senator, remains strong, and he is expected to support Tinubu's second term ambitions. Additionally, Aliero distributed 12,000 bags of rice and other support to constituents during the Ramadan outreach.
