Governor Aliyu Condoles Attahiru Jega Over Wife's Death

On a Sunday afternoon, Governor Ahmadu Aliyu of Sokoto State visited former Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman Attahiru Jega to express his condolences over the death of Jega's wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jega. The governor characterized her death as a great loss not only to the family but to the nation at large.

He extended his prayers to the Almighty Allah for forgiveness of her shortcomings and for her to be granted Jannatul Firdau, a place in paradise, while also offering comfort to the bereaved family. Hajiya Hadiza Jega was 40 years old at the time of her passing, and her funeral prayer was held at the National Mosque in Abuja, where she was buried according to Islamic rites.

Governor Aliyu was accompanied on his condolence visit by Gandi Umar Muhammad, Senior Special Assistant on Administrative Legal Matters.
