Sokoto Governor Mourns Aljazeera Correspondent's Death

Sokoto Governor Ahmadu Aliyu expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Ibrahim Moham Goronyo, a correspondent for Aljazeera, who died on Tuesday evening at the age of 64 after a brief illness. Goronyo is survived by his wife and five children. Governor Aliyu described Goronyo's death as a great loss to both his family and the journalism profession in Sokoto State. He noted Goronyo's experience and commitment as a journalist, highlighting his significant contributions to the development of the state and the country. The governor prayed for Allah to forgive Goronyo's shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdau. Aliyu also extended condolences to the deceased's family members, including Alhaji Bala Aliyu, Maisango Arkilla, Bashir Sarkin Hurumi, and Hajiya Tuni. The governor was accompanied on his condolence visit by the APC state chairman Haruna Adiya and members of the state executive council.
