MFM, Nigeria Customs Set for Zenith Bank League Final 8

The 2026 NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League Final 8 begins today at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, featuring MFM and Nigeria Customs, both of whom finished their respective conferences unbeaten. MFM dominated the Atlantic Conference, defeating all five teams in both Phase 1 and Phase 2, while Nigeria Customs achieved the same in the Savannah Conference.

The tournament's first game starts at 10 am, with subsequent matches at 12 noon, 2 pm, and 4 pm, concluding the group phase on October 1. MFM, aiming to reclaim the title after losing it last year to Dolphins, previously won back-to-back championships in 2023 and 2024.

The two teams are separated in the group stage, with the earliest potential meeting being in the semifinals on October 2. Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, MD/CEO of Zenith Bank, the league's sponsor, encouraged fair play and urged Lagosians to attend the matches.
