Coalition of CSOs Backs Gbajabiamila, Dismisses Allegations

A coalition comprising 350 civil society organizations has publicly backed Femi Hakeem Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, in light of allegations made against Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew. During a press conference in Abuja, the coalition described the claims as baseless and lacking credible evidence.

They asserted that the allegations aim to tarnish Gbajabiamila's image without substantial proof. The coalition emphasized that they thoroughly examined the allegations and found them unsubstantiated, stating that the intent behind the claims is to manipulate public sentiment against the Chief of Staff.

They highlighted Gbajabiamila's record of public service, including significant legislative reforms during his tenure as Speaker of the 9th House, such as the passage of various bills aimed at economic stimulation and social welfare. The coalition called for relevant security agencies to investigate the matter and prosecute those responsible for the allegations, asserting that they will not allow attempts to discredit the Chief of Staff to succeed.
