Civil Society Groups Defend Gbajabiamila Against Allegations

On Friday, a coalition of 350 civil society organizations convened a press conference in Abuja to defend Femi Hakeem Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, against allegations made by Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew. The coalition described the allegations as baseless and lacking credible evidence.

They asserted that the claims were an attempt to tarnish Gbajabiamila's reputation without substantial proof. The coalition's statement was signed by representatives from various organizations, including Amb.

Philip Okwaggb, Amadi Chindi, and others. They emphasized that the allegations were a calculated effort to manipulate public sentiment against Gbajabiamila and highlighted his significant contributions during his tenure as Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, including landmark legislative reforms and initiatives aimed at improving welfare for students and vulnerable groups.
