IK Ogbonna Denies Involvement in $75K Romance Scam

IK Ogbonna, a Nigerian movie star, has publicly denied any involvement in a $75,000 romance scam that surfaced online. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is reportedly investigating the matter in collaboration with the FBI.

The allegations stem from a complaint made against a 49-year-old American woman named Kimberli Ann, who is said to have engaged in an online relationship in 2025. Ogbonna addressed the rumors via an Instagram story, labeling the reports as completely false and malicious, asserting that he does not support or participate in any form of internet fraud or romance scams.

He cautioned the general public against impostors who exploit his identity through fake social media accounts to deceive unsuspecting individuals. This incident is not the first time Ogbonna's name has been misused in such a manner, prompting him to urge vigilance among his followers regarding potential catfishing scams.
