DSS Arraigns Chidiebere Justice Mark for Cybercrime

Chidiebere Justice Mark, referred to as Justice Crack, was arraigned by the Department of State Services (DSS) at the Federal High Court in Abuja on April 28, 2026. He faces three counts related to cybercrime and military incitement.

The charges include circulating false information on social media that allegedly caused annoyance and hatred among citizens regarding the Nigerian Army's operations. The first count accuses him of posting false information with the intent to incite public unrest, violating Section 24(1)(b) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act of 2015.

The second count involves publishing a viral video that generated negative public reaction and fear, breaching peace, contrary to Section 59 of the Criminal Code Act. The third count alleges an attempt to commit a felony by circulating derogatory content about the Nigerian Army, violating Section 509 of the Criminal Code Act.

Following the arraignment, Justice Joyc Abdulmalik adjourned the matter to May 25, 2026, for a possible bail application, ordering Mark to be remanded in DSS custody.
