Gombe PDP Accuses Governor of N315m Gifts to Singer

The Gombe State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), represented by Abdulkadir Ahmad Dukku, has expressed deep concern over the alleged allocation of N315 million in gifts to a Kano-based singer by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's administration. The PDP claims that this amount includes N115 million for the purchase of a coaster bus and a cash grant of N200 million.

The party argues that such expenditures are reckless, especially at a time when the state is facing challenges with 787,619 school children in need of educational interventions. The PDP further accused the Yahaya administration of allocating four plots of land in the Shehu Abubakar district layout to the singer, which they deem a serious concern given recent government land revocation exercises.

The PDP is demanding transparency and accountability regarding these decisions, emphasizing that public resources should be managed in the best interest of the state's citizens. In response, Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director of Press Affairs for the Gombe State Government, dismissed the PDP's allegations as baseless.
