Gwarzo Challenges Kano Governor on Fund Diversion Claims

Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the gubernatorial candidate for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State and former deputy governor, has challenged Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to substantiate allegations made by the governor's spokesperson, Sunusi Batur, regarding the diversion of local government funds. Gwarzo's son, Mujahid Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, reacted to these claims, which he described as false and baseless.

In a statement issued on Thursday by spokesperson Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Gwarzo called the allegations a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation and accused the state government of lacking factual basis for its claims. He urged the governor to produce credible evidence to support the allegations, asserting that they are not grounded in fact and are merely products of the governor's imagination.

Gwarzo expressed confidence that the truth would prevail and encouraged the public to disregard what he termed unfounded allegations aimed at discrediting him.
