Gwarzo Challenges Kano's Allegations of Fund Diversion

Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the governorship candidate for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State, has publicly questioned the evidence presented by the state government regarding an alleged scandal involving the diversion of local government funds by his son, Mujahid Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo. In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Shuaibu, Gwarzo characterized the allegations as baseless and an outrageous attempt to tarnish his reputation and integrity built over years of public service.

He challenged the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, to provide credible evidence to substantiate the claims made by Sunusi Batur Dawakin Tofa, who alleged that funds from local government councils were misappropriated. Gwarzo emphasized that mere accusations, regardless of how often they are repeated in the media, do not constitute proof.

He expressed confidence that the truth would ultimately prevail and urged the public to disregard what he termed unfounded allegations.
