Osun APC Demands Resignation of Chief of Staff Akinley

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has demanded the resignation of Alhaji Kazeem Akinley, who serves as Chief of Staff to Governor Ademola Adeleke, due to allegations of payroll fraud totaling N13.7 billion. In a press statement issued by the party's Director of Media, Kola Olabisi, the APC accused Akinley of bringing "monumental shame" to the state and urged him to step down from his position.

The allegations have intensified concerns regarding the administration's integrity, particularly following a controversial audio recording purportedly involving Akinley that has circulated widely on social media. The APC's statement described Akinley as unfit for his role, claiming his actions undermine public confidence in the state government.

The party also compared Akinley to previous Chief of Staffs, including Elder Peter Babalola and Gboyega Oyetola, asserting that he has failed to meet the standards expected of someone in such a sensitive position.
