Alumnus Donates Over ₦1 Billion to PAAU for Research

Dr. Rabiu Olowo, an alumnus of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) in Anyigba, Kogi State, has donated a Research Center and Digital Library Complex valued at over one billion naira to the university.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Monday, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman.

He assured that the ongoing construction of the center would benefit not only the university community but also Kogi State, Nigeria, and the international academic community. Prof.

Usman commended Dr. Olowo for his significant contribution, emphasizing that the center would enhance research capacity, provide internet services, and feature a modern conference facility.

He urged stakeholders to prioritize unity over ethnic and religious sentiments, highlighting that Dr. Olowo, despite being from Kwara State, chose to invest in PAAU.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that this initiative would inspire further philanthropic contributions and enhance the university's international visibility and academic relevance.
