Dr. Rabiu Olowo Donates Research Centre to PAAU

Dr. Rabiu Olowo, the Executive Secretary of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and an alumnus of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), donated an ultra-modern Research Centre of Excellence and Digital Library to his alma mater in Lokoja.

The donation, valued at several millions of Naira, was announced during a groundbreaking ceremony held at the university campus. Dr.

Olowo, represented by project coordinator Dr. Mohammed Umar, described the centre as world-class and designed according to international best practices to support research and learning.

The centre will feature a digital library accessible to accounting students nationwide, partnering with professional bodies to provide digital resources. It will also include seminar rooms, 24/7 power supply, high-speed internet, and ongoing construction of a borehole.

The Vice Chancellor of PAAU, Professor Salisu Usman, praised Dr. Olowo's contribution, encouraging other alumni to emulate his philanthropic spirit, especially amidst challenges within the Alumni Association.
