PAAU VC Usman Enhances Campus Security Measures

Professor Salisu Usman, the Vice Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University in Anyigba, Kogi State, has committed to tackling insecurity within the university community. In a statement released by Uredo Omal from the Public Relations Office, Usman revealed that the university has acquired two operational vehicles to support anti-cultism operations and enhance safety on campus.

This announcement was made during a security stakeholders meeting held on June 29, 2026, in the university council chamber. The Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and a safe learning environment for staff and students.

He noted that the university management is dedicated to collaborating with security agencies and traditional institutions to eliminate criminal activities. Additionally, the University Management Committee approved the reconstitution of the Student Disciplinary Committee to address misconduct and promote responsible conduct among students.

Usman also clarified that a viral video falsely linking the university to cult activities was misleading and intended to create panic.
