Amaechi Threatens to Exit Coalition Over Obi's Favoritism

During an interview on Thursday, Abdullahi, the spokesman for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), revealed that Rotimi Amaechi threatened to leave the opposition coalition over concerns regarding the preferential treatment given to Peter Obi. Amaechi approached the ADC's national chairman, expressing dissatisfaction with what he perceived as favoritism towards Obi.

Abdullahi refuted claims that Obi was marginalized within the coalition, stating that the former governor holds significant influence within the party's structure. He mentioned that Obi's nomination to a position within the national organization was part of efforts to integrate him into the coalition.

Abdullahi emphasized that there is no reason for complaints regarding marginalization, asserting that the political environment is not toxic and that Obi's contributions are valued. The ADC spokesman also noted that Osita Chidoka is working hard to build the coalition and ensure a sense of belonging for all members.
