Amazon Cargo Plane Crash in Miami Leaves Five Dead

On Monday, a Boeing 767 cargo aircraft operated for Amazon Air crashed at Miami International Airport after overshooting the runway during landing around 2:00 PM local time. The aircraft, arriving from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, collided with nearby vehicular traffic, resulting in at least five fatalities.

Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava confirmed the death toll during a press briefing, while Fire Rescue Chief Ray Jadallah reported that three individuals were transported to local trauma centers with life-threatening injuries, and two others sustained less severe injuries. Approximately 60 firefighters and specialized personnel were deployed to manage fires and search the impacted vehicles.
