Abiodun Endorses Salisu for Ogun Central Senate Seat

Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, announced his endorsement of Shuaibu Salisu as the consensus candidate for the Ogun Central senatorial seat in the forthcoming 2027 elections during a meeting held in Abeokuta. Abiodun praised Salisu, who is currently the Chief of Staff, for his reliability and contributions during his first term in office.

Olamilekan Adeola, another senator, urged party members to support Salisu. Meanwhile, Ibikunle Amosun, a former governor, reportedly obtained a nomination form for the senatorial primaries and expressed dissatisfaction with the meeting, claiming it misrepresented the proceedings.

Amosun stated that he did not agree with any request for candidates to withdraw from the race, emphasizing the democratic process and his right to contest. The meeting included discussions among various APC leaders, with six already obtaining nomination forms for the Ogun Central senatorial primaries.
