Amotekun and NDLEA Join Forces Against Drug Abuse in Oyo

The Oyo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, has partnered with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to address drug abuse and its related security challenges in Oyo State. The collaboration was announced by the State Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, following a one-day sensitization program organized by the NDLEA for Amotekun operatives.

The initiative aims to focus on drug abuse prevention, identification of substance-related risks, and community-based approaches to promote drug-free environments. Col. Olayinka Olayanju (retd.), Commandant of Amotekun, represented by Mrs Adigun Yetunde, emphasized the importance of ongoing training for personnel to better understand and respond to substance abuse issues.
