Amotekun Corps Rescues Woman and Children from Kidnappers

Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network, known as Amotekun Corps, successfully rescued a woman and her two children from kidnappers in the Isingbo-Osi axis of Akure North Local Council Area, Ondo State. The operation was facilitated by a swift distress call from the community, prompting Amotekun personnel to arrive at the scene within five minutes.

Adetunji Adeleye, the commander of Amotekun in the state, disclosed this information while parading 10 suspected criminals arrested for various offenses, including kidnapping, armed robbery, motorcycle theft, and church burglaries. Among those arrested were Joseph, 25, and Friday, 20, who were implicated in stealing and reselling motorcycles for N70,000 each.

Adeleye noted a significant decrease in criminal activities across the state, attributing this positive trend to the collaborative efforts of security agencies and the assistance of the Fulani community in identifying some of the suspects.
