AMTY Award Distributes N2.5m to Five Talented Winners

On August 21, 2026, the organizers of the Anambra Most Talented Youth (AMTY) Award redeemed cash prizes totaling N2.5 million to five awardees, with each recipient receiving N500,000. This initiative is part of the organizers' commitment to rewarding excellence and supporting the growth of deserving individuals and institutions.

The prize money awarded to schools is intended to strengthen their libraries, while individual winners will use the funds to support and expand their businesses. The beneficiaries include Mater Amabilis Secondary School, Umuoji, which was recognized as the Best Public School of the Year; St. John Vianney Science College, Ukwulu, awarded Best Private School of the Year; and Fr. Dr. Gabriel Ositadimma Anochilionye, Principal of St. Charles College, Onitsha, named School Administrator of the Year.

Additionally, Kenechukwu Ndunwa was honored as Innovator of the Year, and OneGrid Energies, Onitsha, received the Startup Company of the Year award. The organizers indicated that prize values for the sixth edition of the award are expected to increase to enhance the initiative's impact.
