Anambra CP Orders Investigation into Comedian's Killing

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Nnanna Ama, has directed operational and investigative units of the Anambra State Police Command to intensify efforts to identify and apprehend the assailants responsible for the killings of media personality Isaac Nwosu, known as “Azia Nwosu,” and another unidentified individual. This directive followed a two-hour closed-door meeting held on Monday with strategic and operational officers to reassess public information regarding the incidents that occurred on Sunday night along S.M.

Okeke Street and Capital City Road in Awka. CP Ama also visited Nwosu’s family to express condolences, describing him as an asset to both the family and the state.

He emphasized the police's determination to pursue the investigation and urged residents to maintain their trust in the integrity of the police force. The motive behind the killings remains unclear, contributing to heightened tension in the area, prompting increased security measures.
