Anambra Man Arrested for Alleged Murder of Girlfriend

Ifechukwu Okechukwu, a 33-year-old man, has been taken into custody by the Anambra State Police Command for the alleged murder of his 23-year-old girlfriend, whose body was reportedly buried secretly in Nkpor, Anambra State. The arrest followed credible information received from concerned members of the public, leading to an investigation by the state criminal investigation department.

The police have also apprehended three other suspects: Chukwudi Chukwuyer, 40; Chisom Chukwuyer, 30; and Arum Goodluck, 16, in connection with separate offenses, including serious child abuse involving a 10-year-old boy. The police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrests and emphasized the importance of community cooperation in exposing criminal activities.

The command reassured residents of its commitment to protecting lives and property while urging the public to report any suspicious activities.
