Anambra Man Allegedly Kills Lover's Son Over Dispute

On Sunday night, an incident occurred in Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State, where a man identified as Simpli Gozi allegedly killed his lover's son, a 20-year-old victim. The attack reportedly stemmed from ongoing disputes between Gozi and the victim regarding Gozi's frequent visits to the victim's mother's home.

Eyewitnesses noted that the victim had warned Gozi multiple times about his visits, which often led to quarrels. On the night of the incident, Gozi allegedly attacked the victim while he was asleep, inflicting fatal machete wounds.

The victim's body was discovered by neighbors after they heard unusual noises. Following the discovery, the community reacted with outrage, leading to mob actions against Gozi's family, including the burning of their home.

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed that the case has been documented and is under investigation, with the victim's body deposited at the morgue.
