PDP Anambra Condemns Destabilization Efforts Ahead of Elections

The Anambra State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) issued a communiqué condemning actions by certain individuals and groups seeking to destabilize the party. The communiqué, signed by Mr.

Chidi Chideb and Chief Eber Onunkwo, emphasized the validity of the current state executive committee, which was reaffirmed by a recent Court of Appeal judgment. This judgment confirmed the legitimacy of the committee elected during the October 2024 congress, aligning with the party's constitution.

The PDP expressed concern over the implications of the judgment and reaffirmed its commitment to the rule of law, urging members to engage in genuine reconciliation. The party called for aggrieved members to return to the fold and participate in open dialogue.

Additionally, the PDP commended its members for their enthusiasm in ongoing membership registration efforts and urged them to focus on preparations for future political engagements, including the 2027 general elections, while adhering strictly to party discipline.
