NASENI Empowers Anambra Residents with Skills and Resources
Hundreds of residents from various parts of Anambra State benefitted from a five-day sustainable empowerment programme organized by the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI). The programme took place at the Obi’s Palace in Onitsha and the Civic Centre in Eke Abatete, Idemili North Local Government Area.
Participants, including Onitsha youths, received training in modern electrical installation and maintenance. Additionally, over 200 women were provided with bags of rice, clean cooking stoves, and cash.
Khalil Suleiman Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, emphasized that the initiative aims to leverage science, technology, and innovation to improve the daily lives of Nigerians. He was represented by Dr Chika Eze-Anyanaso, a Director at the agency.
The programme included the NASENI Solar Home System, NASENI Clean Cook stoves, and NASENI Support Pack, aimed at fostering self-reliance and supporting the entrepreneurial spirit of the community.
