FG Launches NASENI's Sustainable Empowerment Programme

The federal government of Nigeria has initiated the Sustainable Empowerment Programme (NSEP) through the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to improve livelihoods and productivity across the country. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, announced this during the program's Abia State edition at Uma Ukpai Memorial Primary School in Ohafia Local Government Area.

Halilu stated that the program aims to translate scientific and engineering opportunities into practical benefits for Nigerians, enabling them to participate in the innovation-driven economy. He highlighted that Abia State was selected due to its entrepreneurial spirit and manufacturing culture.

Halilu emphasized that the support provided is an investment in productive capacity rather than mere handouts, with success measured by the improvement in lives and communities. Dr. Armstrong Uma Takang, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of MOFI, reiterated the government's commitment to empowering the people of Ohafia and Abia State.
