Angela Okorie Remains in Custody Despite Meeting Bail Requirements

Nollywood actress and singer Angela Okorie is still detained at Suleja Prison despite fulfilling the bail conditions set by the Federal High Court in Abuja. The court had granted her bail on Friday with a set amount of N5 million and a level 13 civil servant as surety.

Efforts by activists, including Omoyele Sowore, Mama Pee, actor Stanley Onyekachukwu Amuchie, and Randy Peter, were made to secure her release. However, Angela Okorie has not been released, leading to discussions and debates on social media regarding the delay.

Stanley Onyekachukwu explained on Instagram that the bail process was completed late on Friday, assuring the public that her release is imminent. He mentioned that Angela's bail application process was finalized and she should have been released on Monday after meeting all bail conditions.

The delay in her release has drawn attention to the procedural delays within the judicial system, leaving many eagerly awaiting the actress's freedom.
