Ebonyi State Governor Bans School Graduations, Introduces Skills Certificate Policy

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has banned nursery and primary school graduation ceremonies as part of educational reforms. The state's commissioner for primary and secondary education, Donatus Ilang, announced the decision, stating that only students who have completed basic education will have graduation ceremonies.

The government also ordered the closure of unapproved private schools to enhance education quality. Governor Nwifuru emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and skill acquisition, making it compulsory for students to obtain a skills certificate alongside their academic certificates.

This move aims to improve the quality of education and promote practical skills among students in Ebonyi State.
