Adamawa Electoral Commission to Announce LG Election Results

The Adamawa Electoral Commission is preparing to announce the results of the local government elections, with the announcement expected today. Emmanuel Anuhu Abba, a representative of the commission, informed journalists that the results from 20 local government areas have been collated, while results from Numan Local Government Area are still pending.

Abba urged patience and understanding from the public to ensure a free, fair, and transparent process. The elections took place across 21 local government areas, commencing on Saturday, June 13, 2026, following a delay in the arrival of electoral materials.

Despite some protests, the state police commissioner, Kabir Umar Hassan, confirmed that the electoral process was conducted peacefully, with no significant incidents reported that would breach the peace across the areas involved.
