APC and Accord Party Blame Each Other for Violence in Osun

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Accord Party are trading accusations regarding violent incidents in Osun State, particularly in Osogbo. Mr.

Oluwol Ok, Director General of the APC Campaign Council, accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of being complicit in attacks against opposition party members. He alleged that the governor harbors hoodlums responsible for various security breaches in the state.

Ok called for a thorough investigation by security agencies into these incidents, emphasizing that anyone found culpable should be arrested and prosecuted regardless of political affiliation. The APC also highlighted the murder of Accord Party member Mr.

Kolade Eluyera and other violent acts linked to political motivations. The situation has escalated concerns about the safety of citizens in Osun State, with a history of politically motivated violence in the region, including the attack on the wife of former Governor Oyetola in 2022.

The APC urged the Inspector General of Police and other security agencies to take immediate action to address the rising political violence.
