APC Condemns Adeleke's Remarks Against Tinubu Ahead of Election

The Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council issued a statement condemning Governor Ademola Adeleke for comments made during a campaign event, which they claimed were directed against President Bola Tinubu. The APC described Adeleke's remarks as reckless and a sign of desperation ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

They alleged that Adeleke threatened a repeat of the 1983 political crisis if he loses and accused Tinubu of withholding federal allocations for Osun State's local governments. The APC dismissed these allegations as false and irresponsible, asserting that the allocations were being released as required.

Furthermore, the council accused Adeleke's administration of political violence, claiming over 30 APC members had been killed since 2022 by government-linked thugs. They also alleged financial misconduct involving over ₦1 trillion in state revenue and the mismanagement of federal grants.

The APC urged Adeleke to refrain from inflammatory rhetoric and accept the election outcome peacefully, expressing confidence in their candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).
