APC Warns Adeleke Against Political Tension in Osun

Tajudeen Lawal, the Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has raised concerns about potential political tensions in local government councils following allegations from the Osun State Government. The government claimed that some stakeholders were planning crises at local councils and motor parks after the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

In a statement from Kola Olabisi, the Osun APC Director of Media and Information, Lawal cautioned Governor Ademola Adeleke against actions that could lead to political unrest. He urged the government to refrain from using security issues as a means to intimidate political opponents and to provide any credible intelligence regarding threats to security to relevant agencies for investigation.

Lawal emphasized the need for the protection of local government officials and called for adequate security deployment to prevent violence. He warned against the misuse of state power and reminded Adeleke of his responsibility to all citizens, regardless of their political affiliations.
