APC Warns of NULGE Protest at UBA Branches in Osogbo

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a warning regarding a planned protest by the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) at United Bank for Africa (UBA) branches in Osogbo, scheduled for March 23, 2026. According to sources close to NULGE, the union's leadership has instructed its branches to mobilize twenty staff members from each local government to participate in the protest.

The protest is reportedly part of a plot to picket the bank, disrupt commercial activities, and address grievances against the local government administration led by Governor Ademola Adeleke. The APC alleges that the state government has facilitated and sponsored this protest, which follows NULGE's abandonment of work for eleven months last year.

The protest is seen as a response to perceived failures in the administration's control over local government operations across the state.
