APC Earns ₦4.45 Billion from Nomination Forms Sales

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised ₦4.45 billion from the sale of nomination forms in preparation for the 2027 general elections. This revenue includes ₦200 million from presidential nomination forms, ₦50 million from governorship forms, ₦20 million from Senate forms, and ₦10 million from House of Representatives forms.

The funds are expected to strengthen the party's financial position ahead of the elections, even as opposition parties face challenges. Internal dynamics within the APC are also noteworthy, as the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) is experiencing tensions, particularly regarding the leadership of Hope Uzodimma, the Imo State governor.

A meeting involving 18 APC governors showed support for Uzodimma, despite reports of potential leadership changes. The party has scheduled primaries for House of Representatives on May 15, Senate on May 18, and governorship on May 21, 2026, with committees set to screen incumbents seeking re-election.
